Preface

"Mahabharatha" being the largest poem in human history talks about everything under the earth and beyond. Written in the ancient language 'Samskritham' or 'Sanskrit', it provides a large pool of information on various aspects of science, that too at a time when there was only a very  few civilizations available in the world. Mahabharata brings out the highest philosophy of the Upanishads through simple dialects and stories. Apart from science it speaks in volumes about politics, geography, management science, mathematics, fine arts, etc.  In modern history great scholars, historians and scientists have contributed a lot to make the common man understand the different dimensions of this incredible history. Also to note rational thinking is the need of the hour on anything and everything. Again in the name of rational thinking rejecting something because it is beyond our 'capacity to think' is too absurd and irrational. 

In this little effort of mine I had touched upon the areas mostly confined to science, history, geography, metaphysics etc. This blog apart from proven facts and research of Mahabharata is also blended with my intuitive thoughts on certain events. The ultimate objective of this blog is to research on the various events of Mahabharata, understand its science, explore its history with archeological and astronomical evidence, identify its geographical area and to present the untapped scientific facts of this great world heritage to the common man in simple terms. This magnanimous task cannot be achieved solely by an ordinary individual like me. Therefore  this article embraces information from various books/websites and acknowledges them wherever possible. I would welcome every one who could contribute me with their valid suggestions and providing me links to related websites, books etc and make this article even better. I thank to all those who have indirectly helped me in this task.  I will keep this updated frequently.
